C. Wayne Rudd, 86, died Monday, December 17, 2007 at the Sunrise Health Center at Roseville, California after an extended illness. Wayne was born August 29, 1921 at Drakesville, Iowa to Earl and Murlie Wintermote Rudd. He graduated from Ottumwa High School, Class of 1941. He married Areta Speer at Ottumwa, Iowa on October 18, 1947. To this union a daughter was born.
Wayne was an inside sales and customer service representative for electric motor bearing and power transmission shops for 30 years. He retired from Pulis Supply and Precision Bearing in Ottumwa. Wayne was a WW II veteran serving from August 1942 to February 1946 with the US Army. He was affiliated with the Davis Street Christian Church in Ottumwa.
Wayne will be remembered by his friends as a man who focused on eliminating litter. As he would walk among the streets in Ottumwa, he always carried a bag and would stop and pick up any litter.

He is survived by his wife, Areta, of Roseville, California; his daughter Alayne Pieper and her husband, Melvin, of Roseville, California; a granddaughter, Victoria Pieper of Roseville and a grandson, Ethan Pieper of Roseville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers: Forrest Rudd, Loris Rudd, Ivan Rudd, Teddy Rudd, and Winifred Rudd.
