Veva Mariw Frogge of Wanatah, Indiana, formerly of Merrillville, Indiana passed away on June 13, 2007 following a lon battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Veva was born on January 13, 1918 in Mount Sterling, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Olivia Corruthers Heath. On October 29,1936 in Memphis, Missouri, she married Orville L. Frogge, who preceded her in death on March 12, 2002.
Veva is survived by a daughter, Wanda Treece and her late husband, Pete and a son, Michael Froedge and his wife, Carole. Also surviving are six grandchildren: JoAnn Hiscox and her husband, Joe; Jayne Chayhitz and her husband, Barry; Jacki Tharp and her husband, Rick; Michael Jr. Froedge and his wife, Patti; Jason Treece and his wife, Christine; Melissa Klemz and her husband, Jesse; thirteen great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, many nieces, a nephew and a cousin; Lavaughn Ketchum and her husband, Mack of Gorin, Missouri.
Veva was preceded in death by her parnts, two sisters; Hazel Haberchak and Leila Heckman; a brother, Jesse Heath and his wife, Mannie and lifelong friends, Bill and Maxine Grabowski.
Veva was adored by her late husband and was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. Veva enjoyed reading, cooking, embroidery and traveling. She was a member of the Colony Chapter #543 of the Eastern Star. Veva was a homemaker for many years before working at the Anderson Company in Gary, Indiana.
