Edna P. Dodge, 86, of Memphis, Missouri died November 22, 2006 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, Missouri.
Edna was born June 10, 1920 at Brazil, Iowa to Claud and Goldie Dooley Bacus. She was a graduate of Unionville, Missouri High School, Class of 1937. She married Ralph Dale Dodge on September 3, 1939 at Kirksville, Missouri. To this union two daughters were born. Ralph died May 21, 1993.
Edna was a member of the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church. She worked for many years in the meat department at Dodge Food Store. She also worked at the Dodge Paint and Wallpaper Store. She retired in 1982. Edna enjoyed playing cardsand was a member of the Senior Citizens Card Group. She also enjoyed games and crafts. |
Edna is survived by two daughters; Connie Ellen Kraus and husband, Harlan, of Downing, Missouri and Carol Elaine Stanford and husband, John, of LeGrand, Iowa; three granddaughters; Jill Elaine Hines of Downing, Missouri, Joy Ellen Kraus of Memphis, Missouri and Dana Marie Stanford of Marshalltown, Iowa; a great-grandson, Tyler Hines and a sister, Thelma Baldock, of Unionville, Missouri. Several nieces and nephews survive; locally, they include John Dodge, Judy Glasgow Boland, Randy Bliefert, and Chris Bliefert.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husbnad, a brother, Claud Jr. Bacus, an infant brother and a sister, Crystal George. |
Memorials may be given to the Scotland County Care Center or the Scotland County Cancer Fund. |
