Virginia Lea Meeks, 58 of Memphis, Missouri, died Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
She was born July 5, 1948, in Kirksville, Missouri to Perry Riley and Zerita Faye Wright Meeks.
She attended Scotland County R-1 School in Memphis, Missouri. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Memphis.
She enjoyed playing games with family and friends, Bingo, shopping at Wal-Mart, crafts and riding the OATS bus. She also loved going to garage sales.
She is survived by two sisters; Jewel Skelton and her husband Edward, of Milton, Iowa; Nancy Barnes and her husband Gerald, of Edina, Missouri; a brother; Perry Richard "Dick" Meeks and his wife, Ruth of Carlsbad, California and a sister-in-law, Donna Meeks of Memphis, Missouri. Other survivors include nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Hollis Meeks, and a great nephew, Lucas Campbell.
Memorials may be given to the OATS Bus, First Christian Church or St. Judes Children's Hospital. They may be left at or mailed to the Memphis Funeral Home.
