Raymond L. Parker, 91, of Memphis, Missouri died Friday, May 12, 2006 in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital at Memphis, Missouri. He was born September 1, 1914 at Canton, Missouri to Harry James and Anna Lee Fishback Parker. Raymond was raised by Dell and Ida Parker and the following sisters; Mary Jo Fishback, Isabella Martin, Donna Briscoe, Ruby Dell Bronestine and Ella Mae McCutchan. He married Reba Lavon Lay on April 25, 1941 at the home of Reba's parents. They celebrated sixty-four years together. To this union three children were born.

He attended Plano School.

Raymond was a member of the Memphis United Methodist Church. He was a farmer in Scotland County and also raised livestock. He took great pride in his pickup and had a special interest in tractors. After retirement Raymond still went to the farm daily and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a Cardinal baseball fan and always enjoyed playing baseball and watching the games. Raymond is survived by two daughters; Norma Woods and husband Eddie of Memphis, Missouri and Marilyn Wangen and husband Dave of Duluth, Minnesota and a son Dale Parker of Seattle, Washingtojn. Other survivors include five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, foster parents, two brothers, Richard and Cecil Parker and five sisters; Ruby, Syndey, Sarah, Edna and Mildred.
